Amazing News! We recently received an awesome blessing of 2,500 new spring and summer garments from "The Children’s Place" for hundreds of impoverished inner-city kids! During spring break, you can join us in distributing quality clothes to these wonderful children totally free to them!
WE’VE ALREADY RECEIVED ALL THE CLOTHES (A $40,000 VALUE)
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SPONSOR LUNCHES!
Since 2016, our spring and summer school break lunch program has averaged giving 700 free meals per day to impoverished children in Nashville’s largest inner-city community. That’s a total of 3,500 lunches for the upcoming Spring Break week. Even with looming inflation, our lunch expenses translate to only $4.96 per meal, which includes a sandwich, chips, fruit, treats, a drink, and related expenses for five days of food and fun.
We can’t allow hundreds of local poverty-stricken children to go without meals due to missing the free meals provided at their public schools. Our daily lunch cost is $3,472 (That’s 700 meals X $4.96). Our five-day total lunch cost is $17,360. We have only a few short weeks to find sponsors from companies, churches, groups, or individuals.
EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
You can sponsor (donate) any of three ways as an individual
or with your friends, family, or organization:
1. Any portion of one day of lunches (From $25 to $3,472)
2. A full day of lunches ($3,472)
3. Any amount over a full day of lunches (From over $3,472 to $17,360)
Volunteer opportunities include preparation, giveaway, and other fun activities each day.
Volunteer activities last from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm each day.
PREPARATION ACTIVITIES: 10:30 am to 11:30 am (Monday-Friday)
Before kids and parents arrive at the event we will:

Set up tables, canopies, and other necessary equipment for outdoor giveaways. (If it rains, we will host the event indoors.)

Separate clothes by item, gender, and size.

Make hundreds of sandwiches and prepare go-bags of lunch items.
GIVEAWAY & FUN TIME ACTIVITIES: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
The giveaway and fun time activities include:

Lunch and clothes giveaway stations

Community tour to remind and invite families to the giveaway.

Face painting, basketball, and playground games.
(Once clothes are given away, we will continue doing lunch and fun time activities through Friday.)
DEDICATED GROUP VOLUNTEER DAYS
Individuals are welcome to volunteer Monday thru Friday. We ask all groups of five or more to sign up and adhere to your sign-up day to ensure an adequate number of volunteers each day. Please note that we welcome financial sponsors and contributors, but you are not required to donate to volunteer.
